Meet the Maker: Gunner & Lux

For those who think outside the jewelry box

At Bambinos, we have the opportunity to showcase many talented individuals with amazing stories, and we want to share them with you! We’re starting a series to shine the spotlight on some of the inspiring makers we work with. First in our series is John and Riley Petersen, the father and daughter duo behind the kid’s jewelry company, Gunner & Lux. This family company is taking the kid’s accessory world by storm one piece at a time.

The Gunner & Lux Story:

Really loved to play dress up, accessorize, and find fashion inspiration at a very young age. During the summer of 2015, when Riley was just 5 years old she decided to use the vintage jewelry her dad John had collected for her to create her very first necklace. She learned how to use pliers, tweezers, and tie knots as she developed her own line of colorful, whimsical accessories.

Riley and John worked on these necklaces together after dinner each night. Soon, Riley began selling her individual charms at her summer lemonade stand, then on her website, and before they both know it...their jewelry was being sold in stores all around the world.

Together, Riley and John have created something truly unique. Today, they hope their story and their designs inspire and bring smiles to those who START COLLECTING.

Hello! We are Riley (age 9) & John (old!) of Gunner & Lux. We are a daughter and dad owned kids Jewelry Company.

Why do you do what you do?

Because we LOVE seeing kids of all ages wearing our accessories, being creative and coming up with their own styles on how to wear our jewelry!

Where do you find your inspiration?

Really from everything around us! We love to go the Atlanta Aquarium, the zoo, go on hikes. We also love reading books and find so much inspiration from fashion!
